What’s inside your tent?
A double bed and 2 single beds (if you have taken tents on the Family Park).
What else is provided for your stay?
BBQ table, crockery, cutlery and BBQ cooking utensils, washing up facilities and equipment, a BBQ and a kettle.
What should I bring?
Food & condiments, pots & pans for boiling or frying, a vessel for water storage, wellie boots or sensible walking shoes, umbrellas, sun cream, mobile phone/tablet chargers, charcoal & firelighters for the BBQ (if you haven’t chosen the BBQ package). Bed linen (if you haven’t chosen the linen package, available at an additional charge per person), and towels. Torches. Warm nightware if staying in the cooler months of the year.
What about food?
We provide a BBQ with your tent and BBQ utensils for your use. We sell meat from our local butcher in our onsite shop (Frozen, please check availability if coming outside peak season). You also have access to our Campers’ kitchens which are equipped with a microwave, fridge and freezer.
You can order on site deliveries of Pizza, Fish & Chips, Chinese and Indian. In addition our staff will happily recommend you to one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants nearby.
You can order fresh croissants, bread, sausage rolls and pasties baked by our local baker and delivered fresh each morning.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate can be purchased from the on-site shop during open hours.

What are the off peak and peak dates for the season?
Low season: 1st May to 25th May; 4th June to 30th June; 3rd September to 30th September
Mid season: 1st July to 20th July
High season: 26 May to 03 June; 21 July to 02 September
What is the age range for guests in tents if making a group booking?
The minimum age for adults in the tent alone is 25. Anyone younger than that must be accompanied by an older person.
Can I get to you early?
You can arrive before check in time of 2pm to familise yourself with Broadhembury, and for children to use the playpark, playing fields and games room. However, there is not access to the tents before 2pm.
Can I book more than one tent at a time?
If using our online booking system you would need to book each tent individually making note that you would like to be together – we would not however be able to guarantee this until we have checked the bookings and confirmed that we can accommodate you together. For group bookings you may find it easier to book by calling 01233 620859 and we will process the booking on the telephone. Please note that all bookings of 2 or more are asked to sign our Group Policy on arrival – we will email you a copy of this on booking. A copy is also available on our website under the ‘Park’ menu.
What are the check in and check out times?
We invite guests to check in from 2pm onwards. Check out time is 10am. Please plan ahead to arrive at Broadhembury by 6pm. IMPORTANT: We do not do late check-ins after 9pm as this would disturb other guests so please plan your travel itinerary accordingly. Travel time from London is at least 2&1/2 hours this may be longer if you intend to travel through the Dartford tunnel or join the M25/M20 after 4.30pm. Please plan your journey to arrive before 9pm
We may be able to accommodate early check-ins and later departures; please call us for arrangements.
What is the maximum age for children?
15 and over are classed as Adults.
Can we bring 2 adults and 3 children or 3 adults and one child?
The tents are designed to fit a maximum of two adults on a double bed and two children on single beds. Any other configuration could mean the tents get too cosy.
Can I bring a small tent to go alongside?
No. Glamping at Broadhembury is all about the experience of staying in our luxuriously designed Lotus Belle tents. If you wish to put up any other camping equipment it would need to be on one of our touring pitches and be subject to our standard touring tariffs.
Can we cook directly outside the tent?
BBQs are provided in your ‘garden area’ and that’s where cooking is done. Cooking of any form inside the tent is strictly prohibited.
Food storage – what is available?
We provide a cool box and freezer packs for if you wish to store any perishable food items. You can re-freeze icepacks in our freezer in the Campers’ Kitchen. Any drinks maybe stored in the fridge within the Campers’ Kitchen to chill down – subject to space within it. Items are left in the fridge/freezer at each guests own risk.
Is fuel provided?
Please bring charcoal for the barbecue and any additional firelighters/matches you may wish to use. You can also purchase charcoal from us. A small amount of firelighters and matches are provided on arrival. You may purchase the BBQ package from us which provides you with charcoal easy-light bags (2) and matches.
Can I bring my own firepit or chiminea?
No. Please note that for safety reasons firepits an chimineas are not allowed at Broadhembury. We do not allow the burning of wood on any BBQs.
Can you cater for warming baby bottles?
You have access to the Campers’ Kitchen and here you will find a microwave that can be used for warming bottles and baby food.
Can we come and go as we please, on and off the site?
Yes. Access on and off the estate is not a problem at any time, as you are provided with your own unique gate code on arrival.
Can we have guests visit us?
Guests must register at Reception prior to arrival and will be subject to our standard charges.
What happens if it rains?
Your BBQ area is open to all the weather elements. If you are willing to cook out in the rain then you are more than welcome, but you will need to bring a large umbrella. You can use the many delivery companies that service Broadhembury to order take-away food; Pizza, Fish & Chips, Chinese & Indian are all options. There are lots of local pubs & restaurants around which our staff can recommend for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
In the event of cancellation more than 30 days before the commencement of the stay, 30% of the rental amount will be payable with a minimum of £100. In the event of cancellation within 30 days before the start of the stay, the entire rental amount will be payable. In the case of early termination of the stay, the entire rental amount will be payable. Broadhembury Caravan & Camping Park is a holiday company and operates to the same industry principles as travel companies, tour operators and airlines. We strongly advise that you have valid holiday insurance in place taht will provide suitable cover for accidents, illness, bereavement, transport difficulties as well as extreme weather conditions. In the event that you wish to change or cancel holiday arrangements due to these circumstances we do not make refunds or guarantee transfers but will assist with documentation for processing your claim with your chosen holiday insurance provider.
Is the site secure?
We want you to enjoy all Broadhembury has to offer and not worry about your tent during the day or night. There is a member of our staff on site all day, every day, and you will be given an emergency number on your arrival. You car is parked next to your tent for the duration of your stay and you can, of-course store any small valuable items in there.
What do I need to bring and what does Broadhembury provide?
All of this information is on an attachment that you will receive on your confirmation email when you have booked. Please read this carefully. Please remember that in order to guarantee availability, any add-ons must be ordered at least 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival date.
Do I need to bring a hairdryer?
Hairdryers are available in our Ladies and Gents facilities.
Are dogs allowed on site?
Certified assistance dogs only are allowed within our Glamping tents. We regret that we cannot accept bookings with any other pets.
Can you accommodate disabled guests?
Broadhembury extends a very warm welcome to all visitors. We have considered the requirements of our visitors – from the very youngest to seniors, doing our best to accommodate everyone’s needs wherever possible. Where full access is not possible, we hope that we have made this clear within our full access statement which you will find online or we are happy to email you a copy. Both the Family Park and the Adults’ Meadows have their own specific disabled facilities.
