Below are a list of questions frequently asked by people visiting our site.
If there are any other questions you feel should be added to this list please contact us using the contact us link above.
Q. Can we have visitors whilst we are on the Park?
A. Day visitors are welcome, but only one visiting vehicle at any one time please. Visitors must report to reception on arrival and will be charged £5 per couple, £8 per family. We will happily refund this charge if your visitors stay less than 5 hours. As visitors' cars cannot be taken onto the park, we will show them where to park.
Q. At what time can we arrive?
A. Our arrival time is usually 2pm, but if you wish to arrive earlier, please do contact us to see if we can accommodate your request (we usually can in low season). It is important to let us know your arrival time if it is expected to be after 7pm. If you arrive after 9pm, or within one hour of nightfall (whichever is earlier); you may be asked to pitch in our secure late arrival’s area.
Q. Can we bring our dogs?
A. Absolutely, dogs are most welcome! Just two per pitch, please, and always keep them on a short lead. Please clear up after your dog on ALL areas of the park. Do call in at Reception for details of local dog walks.
Q. Can we light a barbeque on site?
A. Yes, you may light a gas or charcoal [not wood] barbeque, but please make sure it is at least 3m from hedges and fences and always raised off the ground (bricks are supplied at Service Points or you can purchase a stand from reception). Please be safety aware and keep a bucket of water nearby.
Q. Can we use a fire pit or chiminea on site?
A. No. For safety reasons, we are not able to allow any form of fire pit, chiminea or open fire.
Q. We are taking our motor home off pitch for a while, do we need to leave anything to show its occupied?
A. No, it’s not necessary. Please do not leave electrical cables or goods of any kind unattended.
Q. What are the opening times for reception?
A. Normal hours are 8.30 to 18.00 (high season), 9.00 to 14.00hrs (low season). There is always someone on site and the phone will be manned should you have any queries after these times.
Q. Can our children cycle on site?
A. We would advise against it for safety reasons, however if children are using their bikes, they should always cycle the correct way around the road. There’s plenty of space on the playing field for cycling.
Q. Where’s the nearest supermarket?
A. Tescos is just 5 minutes away in the car, or 15 minutes walk across meadows and park land – we’ll provide you with a map of the local area when you check in.
Q. Cleaning times for toilets and showers?
A. These vary throughout the year and are clearly signed in Tourist Information and on your Arrival Pack.
